What is the BSIF Registered Safety Supplier Scheme?
The British Safety Industry Federation (BSIF) was established in 1994 and has approximately 400 members. It is the UK’s leading trade association for the safety industry, holding a Primary Authority partnership with the HSE and Trading Standards. The BSIF created the Registered Safety Supplier Scheme (RSSS) to combat the growing flood of counterfeit and non-approved PPE — products that claim CE approvals but fail independent tests.
These put lives at risk and expose businesses to prosecution.
Companies displaying the RSSS logo have signed a binding declaration that their products meet appropriate standards and are correctly CE marked. Every registered supplier is independently audited to confirm ongoing compliance.

Jaybee Supplies Ltd undertakes to supply only safety equipment and/or related services that fully comply with the standards and regulations and claims made relating to those products and/or related services. Where appropriate, Jaybee Supplies Ltd will maintain up to date technical files and associated documentation to ensure that regulatory compliance information can be supplied upon request. Where products are sourced from external organisations which hold technical files relating to the products being offered, Jaybee Supplies Ltd will request confirmation that these files are current, complete, contain appropriate conformity assessment information and, where relevant, regulatory compliance certificates and will take all necessary steps to confirm the validity of the compliance documentation held by that external supplier in respect of the products being sourced. Where services are provided related to safety equipment sourced from external organisations, Jaybee Supplies Ltd will maintain approval from the manufacturer that the services provided are assessed and approved by the external organisation...
We now provide reporting - by site, by department and by staff.
Tracking the allocation of PPE in a company is a hassle. Theres a spreadsheet of course, but it is inevitably out of date, and someone has ordered the wrong boot for their role because they don't know their risk assessment. When audited by HSE, you can't prove people have received their equipment. All these problems are addressed with our portal.
The user portals are configured by role to ensure that your employees are always getting the correct PPE. When your order is placed, you input who it is for, and what department / site they are in.
We can provide both an interactive report on your portal, allowing you to drill-down into your different categories, as well as static monthly PDF reports that you can print out and pass around in the meeting room.

Early 2024
Jaybee have continued to go from strength to strength. We are pleased to be working with a number of new large, recognisable clients who's brands we feel privileged to be printing.
Our IT team have worked tirelesly to develop our bespoke online portal systems which save hours of time for our customers, by giving them their own portal tailored to make ordering their uniform and PPE quick and efficient.
As part of our continued development plan we have introduced additional KPI's: One of which is turnaround times, and whilst we still advertise 7-10 working days from approval of artwork we are currently running at 4.3 working days.
August 2023
In August 2023 Jaybee Supplies moved to new premises. This, alongside a new management structure, has allowed us to expand our in-house capability. We have embroidery, vinyl, transfer and sublimation printing in-house, under one roof. We work with a wide range of manufacturers allowing us to provide garments, material and promotional solutions meeting the needs of companies, hotels and clubs — as well as individuals.
We offer solutions for workwear, corporate, PPE, teamwear, sports, bedding, towels and a wide range for the leisure industry. Having the luxury of this range of facilities on site gives us the flexibility to react to the needs of our customers, along with providing a very personal, high level of service. We pride ourselves on our very proactive approach to the "good old fashioned customer service" alongside our new, easy to use and specially tailored portal ordering system, which can be adapted to suite the needs of all our customers.
